As a coach of the Idaho team that lost a heartbreaker in extra innings to the MVLL in the West Regional in 2008, I wanted to extend my well wishes to coach Erickson and his team. That team was also coached by Mr. Erickson and they played well, and with a certain amount of "baseball class".
[It was said to be a best game several officials had ever been a part of...they just got the best of us that evening.]

So...no surprise to me they have made it to the doorstep of a National Championship game. I am rooting for your best games ahead, and a championship.

Thanks for the kind words and for helping us remember what truly was an outstanding youth baseball game. I sent your message on to those in our MVLL network of families that will fondly recall that game. I was surprised that West Valley Little League of Eagle, Idaho was not present at the Western Region Juniors or Seniors tournament this year. Your team was fundamentally sound with very good pitching and defense so I expected to see you this year. Good luck in the 2010 season and hope to see you in Ontario next year!
