Scottsdale Mountain View assured itself a spot in the U.S. finals of the Junior Little League Baseball World Series with a 7-4 victory Wednesday over New Mexico in Taylor, Mich.

Mountain View (3-0) plays New Jersey on Thursday, the final day of pool play, and waits to see which team it will play Friday.

A victory Friday would put Mountain View in Saturday's world-championship game against the winner of the international champion

Saturday's game will be televised by ESPNU at 2 p.m. Arizona time.

Mountain View led 6-0 after four innings. Lucas Jacobi drove in the fifth run with a bases-loaded walk. Jimmy Ditroia drove in the sixth run with a hit.

New Mexico scored three runs in the fifth to make it 6-3. Mountain View added another run in the sixth on Grant Martinez's double.
